UPDATE 3/TROPICAL DEPRESSION(91B)
DATE: 22 MAR 2022 | DAY: TUESDAY
TIME: 2:30PM BST (+6 GMT)

The DEEP DEPRESSION over North Andaman Sea adjoining East Central Bay of Bengal has further moved on Northward direction and weakened into a TROPICAL DEPRESSION over East Central Bay of Bengal off Myanmar coast.
Multispectral satellite animation is showing a weakening LLCC(Low Level Cyclonic Circulation) with decaying convective banding which interacting with the Mountainous terrain of SW Myanmar.
It is being located about 220km SSW of Thandwe, Myanmar.

★WINDS(1MIN AVG):-

Average Maximum Wind speed in radius of 50km from the low level center is 50km/h.
Gusting up to 65km/h.


★FORECAST:-
The System is in less favourable environment due to less moisture supply & huge land interaction.
Other atmospheric parameters like outflow and SST cannot support the system as it remains close to the coast.
Due to aforementioned unfavorable parameters, It could be weakened into into a Well Marked LPA within next 12hrs while crossing Myanmar coast.

MOVEMENT:-
It has moved on northward direction during past 6hrs with the average speed of 16km/h.
*From the present location, it could move generally northward & then NNE direction towards Thandwe, Myanmar coast.

LANDFALL:-
It could cross South West Myanmar coast near Thandwe/Ngapali by this evening (22 March) as a Well Marked LPA.

WARNING:-
Southern & Western Myanmar could experience 35 to 45kph winds with gusting up to 60kph during next 12-18hrs. Then weather should calm down.

ADVISORY:-
Fishermen & Small boats are requested to not to venture into East Central Bay of Bengal & north Andaman Sea during next 24hrs.
Sea condition could be rough to very rough over the region.
Advisory will be cancelled by tomorrow afternoon.

★RAINFALL:-

Due to the direct impact of the system, South & South Western Myanmar could be effected by Heavy to Very Heavy rain between 22-23 March 2022.
